New vision for Lahore Diocese

The Diocese of Manchester has had a link with the Diocese of Lahore, Church of Pakistan, for over 30 years. This link has flourished through visits to each diocese, together with an active linking of schools in both areas.

A culture of welcome for Farsi-speaking community at St James and Emmanuel

The Farsi community at St James and Emmanuel, Didsbury, has been growing for around ten years. What started with just a few Iranian church members now includes a large, thriving and diverse congregation.

Vocations Day

On Saturday 3rd February, St Bride’s, Old Trafford hosted our annual Vocations Day. Created for anyone who is exploring God’s call in their life, attendees had the opportunity to hear from people involved in a wide variety of both lay and ordained ministries. Around 50 people attended, with a further 35 people speaking and sharing stories of their calling.

Permanent home secured for Fabric Church

The permanent location for Fabric Church will be Ardwick Barracks, a large iconic building just one mile south-east of the city centre. Priority work is now underway to prepare an area of the premises for worship by January 2024.
