The Young Christian Climate Network (YCCN) is an action-focused community of young Christians in the UK who have a message about climate justice for world leaders gathering in Glasgow in November for COP26. The relay passed through Manchester from 9-12 September 2021.
Bringing their #RisetotheMoment boat prop, YCCN attended a number of events across the diocese during their time here. They spoke to children in schools about the importance of climate action and were welcomed at churches in the Heatons and Hulme. The relay passed through the city centre and popped into Manchester Cathedral where our three bishops stopped by to welcome then and lend their support to the mesage of climate justice.
