Last weekend, Bolton West Mission Community hosted a youth residential with the aim of bringing together young Christians for a weekend of fun and worship.
Thirty-five young people attended from the four youth groups in the Mission Community (Horwich and Rivington, Westhoughton, Deane and Lostock and Over Hulton). The residential was hosted at St Peter's Parish Centre in Halliwell and was led by youth leaders from across the Mission Community.
The theme of the weekend was positivity; being positive about ourselves, being psitive about one another and being positive about God, and Susie Mapledoram, Assistant Director of Education led the teaching.
The group also visited Moss Bank Park, played Hunt the Spy at Smithills Hall and enjoyed ice creams at Smithills Farm Ice Creamery.
It was an amazing weekend where we saw God powerfully at work amongst our young people. It was also a fantastic way to collaborate across the Mission Community to deliver a memorable event!
