Bishop's Council

The Bishops Council is the Standing Committee of the Diocesan Synod. It keeps the decision-making process going in between meetings of the Diocesan Synod. It makes recommendations to the Diocesan Synod about decision making and acts as an advisory body to the Bishop of Manchester.

Members of the Bishops Council are members of the Diocesan Synod who have been elected to represent their archdeaconries. There are also some ex-officio members who are members on account of the office they hold.

Bishops Council has now been reconstituted and we are waiting for the co-opted members to be confirmed by Diocesan Synod.
