There are two upcoming CMD Formation Days taking place on the 28th and 29th April at Manchester Cathedral, looking at the following theme: Growing Younger - Key learnings for effective ministry with children, young people and families.
These days are exclusively for clergy, readers and licensed lay workers.
These upcoming CMD days will focus on the issue of making our church younger. How do we best go about this? What is effective in encouraging children, young people and families to develop their faith?
There will not only be wisdom offered from within our own diocese, but also input by Emma Buchan and the Revd Pam Macnaughton. Emma and Pam work for the national Church and Networks team on vision and strategy. Emma heads up the work on ‘Doubling the number of children and young active disciples across the Church of England by 2030’; Pam is currently overseeing work on recruiting 27,000 new volunteers to work with children and young people – one of the key pieces of work to achieve this bold outcome. Emma and Pam have each had many years of experience working with CYP in church settings.
