The Eco Champions Network are inviting you to Wardley Hall on the 9th of December, to take part in the second instalment of the Eco Stepping Stones course. The event is open to anyone interested in the eco work going on in the region. You might be involved already, or it could be your first step on the journey; either way, you are welcome!
The Eco Stepping Stones course first launched on 16th September at St John's House, with the first instalment focussing on ‘growing’. Bishop John joined us from the Diocese of Salford and encouraged us to consider the importance of the climate agenda as part of our mission, explaining how he uses Wardley Hall as a space for nurturing responses to the climate crisis and building discipleship.
He invited us to attend this historic building, which we will be using for the second part of the series to explore the theme of ‘nurturing’. This will help us to understand how we can use our spaces to develop discipleship as part of our mission, and how we might do it in an ecologically conscious way.
The session is open to anyone, whether you’re an eco-champion or simply eco-curious, and will run from 9am-1pm. Tea and coffee will be provided, and there will be time at the end for us to reflect over packed lunches. Registration is free, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
