On Tuesday evening, the Man Dio Growing Faith team were commissioned by Bishop Mark Davies at Manchester Cathedral during a special Evensong service.
Those commissioned were:

- Jo Haslam, Early Years Adviser
- Effie Coleman, Manchester North and East Deanery Enabler
- Ruth Gent, Manchester South and Stretford Deanery Enabler
- Laura Tebay, Oldham and Ashton Deanery Enabler
- Loretta Leung, Rochdale Deanery Enabler
- Sandra Morris, Salford and Leigh Deanery Enabler
Karen Beal, MDGF Programme Manager, reflected on the event:
We were delighted to be able to join Choral Evensong at Manchester Cathedral on All Souls Eve to be commissioned as the Man Dio Growing Faith Team. Joined by family, friends, representatives of deaneries and the wider diocese, we were led beautifully in sung worship by the Cathedral choir - thank you to all at the Cathedral as ever for your hospitality. Bishop Mark spoke powerfully of the call of Jesus to the church to share His love and prayed especially for the team to be equipped to serve in their ministry with children, young people and families, knowing that God who called us is faithful. It was a wonderful celebration and we are grateful for all those who we know continue to pray for us. We are excited for what lies ahead in the future, secure in the knowledge that, as one of the readings in the service reminded us ‘The Lord is the everlasting God...’.
