Celebrating the anniversary of our Transforming Prayer Community

Last year on Pentecost Sunday, the Transforming Prayer Community was officially launched. A diocese-wide community that has the simple intention of bringing people together through the act of praying, community members are asked to pray three prayers each day - the Lord's Prayer, Our Diocesan Prayer of Thanksgiving and Hope and a prayer for their local area

Today, almost one thousand members gather daily for prayer in the Transforming Prayer Community Facebook Group. So far, almost 100 inspirational reflections have been written by members of the community, to be shared both online and via a weekly email.

To mark this first anniversary, all are invited to attend a special Evensong service at 5:30 pm this Sunday at Manchester Cathedral. During the service, Bishop Mark will recommission the Transforming Prayer Community, giving thanks for all that has been achieved and sharing hope for the coming year as the community continues to grow.
