On Thursday 2nd May at 7.30 pm, Manchester Cathedral will be hosting a Eucharist to celebrate 30 years since women were first ordained as priests. Bishop Cherry Vann will be preaching and Archdeacon Karen Best will be presiding and all are invited to attend.
As part of the celebration, we are creating a piece of collaborative art to celebrate the work of women priests in the diocese. This is a response to Eva’s Call which focused on the challenges and negative aspects of being a woman in ministry. It is our hope that our artwork will celebrate the joys and mysteries of priestly ordination. The Revd Jenni Beaumont is inviting you to offer a sentence or two to populate the ’speech bubbles’ on the artwork - it can be as simple as your role in the church or as effusive as a positive comment that you have received about your ministry.
All comments will appear without names, but of course, you will be able to identify your comment on the picture If you would like to have your words included. Please send a sentence or two that you are happy to be used to this rev.jennibeaumont@gmail.com
