On Sunday, members of Fabric Church held their first service in their new home - Ardwick Barracks. In the first stage of an extensive redevelopment plan, a worship space has been created that is bright and inviting for the growing congregation. The church attracts young professionals and students living and working in the city centre.
Following a successful bid from Manchester Diocese, the Church of England’s Strategic Mission and Ministry Investment Board awarded funding for this project. This is paying for a staff team, refurbishment of the building, and other costs.
Led by Revd Mark Roper and Revd Nakita Ainsworth, the church was launched in September 2023 in a temporary location, Factory 251.
