Last week, Bishop David invited clergy and ordinands from across the diocese to a number of garden parties hosted at Bishopscourt. Equipped with a pizza oven that looked like a 1920s locomotive, The Revd Dr Ian Jorysz hosted a pizza building table, where visitors assembled their creations - unfortunately pineapple on a pizza appeared to be a common culinary option amongst our Manchester ordinands.
Blessed with warm weather, the garden parties welcomed 100s of attendees, which turned into a game of tetris in the carpark as clergy and ordinands travelled from across the diocese to join. We joined to take photographs of the party on the Thursday afternoon. See the full album at our Flickr Here
We asked Bishop David to share a comment about the gatherings.
"I’m delighted to be able to welcome our clergy and ordinands to Bishopscourt for our summer Garden Parties. It’s a wonderful opportunity for individuals and families to catch up with each other. I’m particularly grateful to have the chance to meet face to face with so many colleagues, who work hard in the ministry and mission of Manchester Diocese."
