Diocesan Revitalization Grants aim to support mission and growth activities in parishes across the diocese. St John’s, Little Hulton, recently put one such grant to good use by holding an Easter Experience Day for 85 children from two local community primary schools.
During the day, children visited different stations and learnt the Easter Story before considering their hopes and dreams for the future. Each child was also given a work pack to take back to school, including a template for cut-out dice; an activity workbook; crayons; pencils; a palm cross; and a small pack with lolly sticks to make their own cross. Everyone also received Mini Eggs to finish off the day!
It is great to see grants being used in new and creative ways to engage children in faith. Diocesan grants can be used for a range of projects, from community initiatives, building works, children and youth work, and much, much more.
