Jubilee+ has produced SIX 'Refugee Training Videos' for Churches

Has your church ever had a refugee or asylum seeker visit on a Sunday morning or turn to you for support? Jubilee+ has recently made available a series of six training videos for churches, designed to provide help to local church communities in creating welcoming and supportive groups, projects and life-changing friendships across cultures.

The refugee crisis has become an increasingly pressing issue in recent years, with millions of individuals forced to flee their homes due to violence, persecution, and other forms of conflict. Many of these individuals seek refuge in countries like the United Kingdom, where they often face challenges in finding housing, employment, and other resources. Churches and other faith-based organisations can play a crucial role in supporting refugees and helping them to integrate into their new communities. However, many church leaders and members may not be familiar with their unique challenges and needs, and may not know how to effectively assist them.

The series includes six individual videos, each focused on a different aspect of working with and supporting refugees:

  1. Supporting asylum seekers with leave to remain
  2. Building a multicultural church
  3. Accommodating asylum seekers
  4. No refugee alone
  5. Dealing with frustration and disappointment
  6. Setting up a project

Do feel free to share these as widely as possible. Jubilee+ requests that you complete the registration form in order to access the videos.
