Manchester and Salford Ecumenical Whit Walk 2025

The Manchester and Salford Ecumenical Whit Walk made a joyful return to the city centre yesterday, bringing together churches from across the area for a display of faith and community.

The sound of brass bands filled the streets, and crowds gathered to support this celebration of unity and tradition. Worship at St Peter's Square was led by Dean Rogers Govender, and Revd Phil Cansdale preached.

The procession then made its way back to Manchester Cathedral, led by:

  • Christ Church Ashton Church Lads & Church Girls (CL & CG) Brigade Band
  • All Saints & Martyrs Langley CL & CG Brigade Band
  • Manchester Regiment CL & CG Brigade Band
  • Delph Band

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day happen, including organisers, parishes and those who came to show their support.
