Manchester Diocesan Board of Finance and Board of Education have been awarded the Investors in People 'We invest in people' Gold Award recognising the effective leadership, ongoing support and motivated team based at St John's House.
The Investors in People (IIP) assessment framework provides a benchmark against the best performing companies. An assessor carried out employee interviews and reviewed the approach and processes within the organisation to assess our current performance, and suggest improvements for the future. The Gold Award is granted to organisations that demonstrate a clear commitment to their people. Only 17% of IIP-accredited organisations achieve the gold standard, and we have been working towards this for several years.
The IIP assessor said, "The culture is dynamic and supportive with a real sense of being a values-based organisation... Your people are proud to work for Manchester Diocesan Board of Finance and feel a high sense of commitment to ensuring that they are successful."
Bishop Mark attended the announcement at St John's House. Commending leaders and staff he said,
"This award confirms all that I know about colleagues in the Boards of Finance and Education: their commitment and dedication to their work, to supporting parishes, chaplaincies and schools is of a very high standard. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement that shows the organisation is continuously improving in its service to our diocese."
