The Revd Dorothy Morris retired as OLM Curate at High Crompton and Thornham and Holy Trinity Shaw on 29 September 2022.
The Revd Sean Page has been appointed to the honorary position of Chaplain to Gypsies, Travellers and Roma for the Diocese of Manchester.
The Rt Revd Mark Ashcroft has announced that he will retire as Bishop of Bolton in February 2023.

Marie Pattison will is to be ordained deacon on Sunday and will serve in the benefice of Walkden and Little Hulton.
For me, the importance of ordination is that it adds a public dimension of visibility and accountability to my calling to share and teach our faith.
Following God's call, André Adefope will be ordained deacon on Sunday 3 July and will serve his curacy in churches at Deane and Lostock.
The Diocesan Synod meeting got off to a lively start with Wiggle Worship. There were updates on diocesan finances, SDF-funded projects, the Transformation Programme, and plans for the relocation of the diocesan office to St John's House in Bury.
Fr Derek Palmer died very peacefully and fortified with the sacraments on 31 May after a period of prolonged ill health that he bore with great prayerful fortitude.
