St George’s Church in Dane Bank has been achieving great things thanks to Transformation Programme revitalisation funding, which has enabled them to open a thriving community café.
Jamie Mackenzie is brilliant at supporting and encouraging others, helping them to navigate challenges and discern a way forward. He brings these talents to his work every day in his role as Lay Ministry Officer for Manchester Diocese, and is now using these talents as a Group Facilitator for Andy's Man Club (AMC).

On Friday, the Church of England and the Methodist Church celebrated the 21st anniversary of the Anglican-Methodist Covenant, which was signed in 2003 in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II, aimed to strengthen ties and promote unity between the two Churches. The Covenant recognises how much the two churches - which separated in the 1790s, after the death of John Wesley - have in common and commits them to removing further obstacles towards unity.
