Julie Macauley from Radcliffe was Admitted and Commissioned as a Church Army Evangelist on Tuesday 18th July, in Sheffield Cathedral.
In July we have been honoured to welcome friends to Manchester Diocese from our link Diocese of Lahore in Pakistan.
In the House of Lords last week, Bishop David defended the rights of children in debates on the Illegal Migration Bill.
The Children Changing Places Project aims to engage children, young people, and families in activity that creates new discipleship pathways and supports the growth of the Christian faith in schools, parishes, and the home.
On Sunday 9th July, Bishop Matthew Porter led a special service to celebrate Reader Ministry in the diocese.
On Wednesday 5th July, Mission Community Leaders met with our three bishops, area deans and colleagues from St John's House.
Following a busy weekend of ordinations, the diocese has been blessed with 21 new priests.
This weekend, services of joyful celebration have been taking place at Manchester Cathedral.
Joshua Gaskell, a trombone enthusiast from Glyndyfrdwy, Denbighshire, in North Wales, has enjoyed a colourful and diverse employment history before entering ministry!
Ahead of their ordinations, the future ordinands were invited to the Cathedral for their ordination rehearsals, as well as a meet-and-greet lunch with the newly consecrated Bishop of Bolton, The Rt Revd Dr Matthew Porter, and other senior clergy.
